This museum was created thanks to the founder and donor of the collection, D. Romero Nieto, president of the Foundation that bears his name and is responsible of its management, in collaboration with its Excellency the Provincial Council of León, the town council of Boñar, the University of León and the Regional Department for Environment of the Junta de Castilla y León, the Duero Hydrographical Confederation.
