26 Oct El Faedo de Ciñera (Ciñera Beech Forest)
The Faedo is a small beech forest next to Ciñera de Gordón, in the Central Mountains of León, inside the Biosphere Reserve of the Upper Bernesga (municipalities of Pola de Gordón and Villamanín). This small corner of León’s geography has been a target of admiration for years, the whimsical shapes of the beech trees, the stream sculpting the gorge, the stick bridge connecting the village of Villar del Puerto to the Ibarra group, the Devonian crests, the potholes, etc., are an attraction to increasingly more visitors.
