26 Oct Mining and Steel Industry Museum of Castilla y León (Sabero)
Over the first decades of the 19th century, around the year 1830, in European countries such as France, Germany or Belgium huge steel industries were being constructed, and they were really innovative, because they represented a new urban and industrial concept. Large facilities based on a specific architecture for industrial production were built. It consisted of an urban configuration designed to provide all types of services, both for workers and managers (hospitals, chemist’s shops, dwellings, grocer’s shops and the workplace itself).
