26 Oct Valporquero’s Caves (Valporquero)
At an altitude of 1309m, below the village of Valporquero, the heart of the mountains of León opens a huge mouth through which, accompanied by a crystal-clear stream, we can discover hidden and amazing subterranean wonders. Paths, bridges, stairs and plenty of floodlights walk with us during a 1-km trail, allowing us to admire the great masterpiece nature has been shaping for over a million years. Stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones and columns of different colours and sparkles become visible across the seven halls people can visit. Unexpected dimensions and immense volumes give way to a path full of lights and shadows, of fantasy and emotion. For further information: Valporquero’s Caves.
